Matt Cooper

Principal Broker & Co-Founder

Matt Cooper is co-founder and principal broker of Stride Commercial, where he leads brokerage strategy, client advisory, and the firm’s operations across Nashville’s commercial market.

Matt has spent more than eight years in commercial real estate, working across three Nashville brokerages before co-founding Stride in 2026. His experience spans landlord representation, tenant advisory, and sales transactions, with a primary focus on retail and office assets throughout the Nashville MSA.

Matt takes a relationship-first approach to commercial real estate, pairing deep local market knowledge with strong systems and processes that keep clients informed and deals moving efficiently. He founded Stride with a simple conviction: when brokers are genuinely supported, clients and communities are better for it.

Born and raised in Nashville, Matt has lived in neighborhoods across the city, from Donelson and Green Hills to Brentwood, The Nations, and 12 South, giving him a firsthand perspective on how Nashville’s commercial landscape continues to evolve.

Outside the office, Matt spends most of his time with his wife, Allie, and their three kids, Daniel, James, and Shelby. You can usually find them at Sevier Park, and he’ll sneak in a round of golf when he can.
